The Task Force was all at once in a state of complete bewilderment as a small boy, appearing no older than four or five, stepped out. He clicked the door shut and turned to run with tiny steps over to L's chair. He then proceeded to crawl underneath it, and then he just... stayed there. He sat cross-legged, sticking his little face out from under the chair and looking at everyone curiously through strands of floppy, black hair that fell into his slender, electrifying blue eyes. He was wearing patterned footie pajama pants and a hoodie with bear ears. The ends of both hoodie strings were in his mouth and his hands were stuffed in his front pockets. L barely skipped a beat and continued talking about the case and the FBI agents as though nothing were amiss... but he realized quickly that no one was listening. He sighed. "Alright," he said firmly. "I'll introduce you, but if we are going to be working together on this case, you cannot allow yourselves to be so easily distracted. Is that understood?" The Task Force looked a little embarrassed, but they all agreed and some mumbled apologies. "Everyone..." L leaned forward with his hands on his knees to look down at the small face that was now peering up at him. The little boy's mouth formed a smile around the hoodie strings he was chewing on. Everyone knows that the reclusive detective, known only as L, is one of the greatest minds the world has ever known. What the world doesn't know is that he is only twelve years old. The ICPO approaches L about the murders of four single parents from four different countries whose children have since gone missing. L dismisses the case as too insignificant until he meets the boy who is making this case a whole lot more complicated. Michael West, age 12, was raised by his adult sister until she seemingly committed suicide. A cryptic message left at the crime scene seems to indicate that she was yet another victim of this case, soon to be called the Triebome Murder Case. After his sister's death, Michael is transported to Wammy's House for safety, where he takes on the alias of Nurse. After a rather embarrassing incident where L become so involved in a case that he goes a little too long without eating and passes out, Nurse is assigned to be L's roommate and ordered to keep an eye on him - much to the dismay of both boys. L brings Nurse onto the case in the hopes that he will be able to shine some light on the evidence. Can Nurse and L solve the case?

Mello, Near and Matt are the top three students at Wammy's House, training to take after the famous L as the worlds next greatest detective. Matt: an anti-social gamer, Mello: an overly aggressive blonde and Near: an extremely intelligent asocial albino, although Matt and Mello are best friends... trouble starts when Near is in the picture. How will they work together when the three rivals are surprised by L himself coming to the Wammy's House Orphanage to ask them to help him solve a case soon to be known as the Beyond Birthday Murder Case... will they find the murderer? Disclaimer: I do not own Death Note nor any of the characters (unless stated otherwise, which it probably won't be) L had died of a heart attack right after Watari because Rem had written his name in the Death Note. What actually happened, L wrote his own name in Misa's Death Note. He also wrote Light's name in Misa's Death Note so Ryuk could not kill Light. L and Light had 20 days left of life.
