In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. When Link enters first grade, he befriends Zelda, the most beautiful girl in Hyrule, and eventually falls in love with her. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. Five years later, Link is a 16-year-old man with severe depression and a Hero chosen by the Master Rifle. He is still in love with Zelda and thinks about her every second of his life. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. In this fantasy AU, Zelda is an alchemist hunter. She finds and harvests magical ingredients. (Think... catching a frog in botw, and her fascination with ingredients and their effects.) Link and Zelda are convinced to go to a party, the same one they did last year, which Zelda can't remember. Although they both don't particularly want to go, they do in hopes of regaining Zelda's lost memories. As all high school parties go, things start to get a bit crazy with people all around them playing many different kinds of games. Of course, they both join in, as there is a certain memory there that is essential to the both of them. All characters are owned by Nintendo
