Scar is gone but his spirit burns with unfinished business, but he was found another to carry on his task. Kion, the former leader of the Lion Guard, turns Outlander and has a new family, the hyena clan. Embracing the words of Scar, he has a new way of life and new name. He has now taken on the destiny of freeing the hyenas even if it means taking on the Pride Lands. But can he really be the one to liberate the hyenas? Can he overcome anything that stands in his way, even those he used to call friends and family?

Janja and Jasiri don't get along. But after spending time with the hyena Janja comes to care for her and feels he is in love with Jasiri and tries to impress her. Jasiri thinks she likes Janja but doesn't want to accept it because of their rivalry and different point of views in the circle of life. When Kion is faced with a mysterious illness, Queen Rani becomes depressed at the fact that the one she loves might die and is unable to attend her royal duties. With the crown entrusted to her close friend, Fuli does her best to keep the Rani and Kion's kingdom at peace. One night Rani runs away to be alone but the next morning she is found dead. All animals turn to Fuli to guidance but she can barely cope with the death of her friend as she desperately tries to find a way to save Kion which can only be found in her memories. The pair must take on the challenge of leading the kingdom without Rani for neither of them can do it alone. They must overcome any challenge they are faced with as well as learn to work together as a king and queen should. Despite the many challenges, Kion and Fuli try to hide any unwanted feeling towards the other as well as their friends as they soon discover the cause of Rani's death is more than what meets the eye.

After almost meeting his demise, Kion must heal with Jasiri tending to his injuries. Under her care, Kion learns a caring side of Jasiri, and discover hidden feelings because of it. However, many trials will oppose and test the strength of their friendship and passion the two have for one another.

When Jasiri offers Janja a place into her Clan, Janja refuses to join. But unexpectedly, he starts falling for her and no matter how many times he denies it, the feelings for Jasiri just get stronger and they start meeting up secretly at night. But as he starts falling for Jasiri, Janja starts to realize that he is risking his clan's safety with Scar around and is risking his own life as well. Will Janja continue to risk his life for Jasiri? Or will he turn his back on Jasiri?

Three different worlds, yet they all share the same destiny. The Past- Tau had came to meet the Royals; now faced with a possible truth that he is a Pridelander himself, he must confront his past scars and overcome the evil that's starting to shroud over him. Will he succeed in overcoming his past or will he lose to history? -Saga III. Tau Returns to Pride Rock- Tau now knows the truth about his birth, after finally confessing his feelings for Jasiri; his adventure will take him back to the Pridelands. But trouble isn't too far behind when another Outlander who isn't afraid of death makes her way into the Pridelands as well. Can Tau save the Pridelands from the Outlander's fearsome monster? Or will she succeed in her plot? -Saga IV. A Dark Road Ahead- With the Incident in the Prideland being resolved, Tau and the others try their best to return to their normal lives. Just, their normal live won't be so normal when a new threat comes from over the horizon. Now his friends must all come together to get ready for their greatest challenge yet, a enemy who has his eyes set on a certain Outlander.
