Ikalawang Libro. Noon akala ko simple lamang ang buhay, basta humihinga ka at nakakain ng tatlong beses sa isang araw ay ayos na. Pero nung mapunta ako sa sinaunang panahon, namulat ang aking puso't-isipan. Lahat ng aking nasaksihan trahedya, kasawian at kapighatian...mga bagay na siyang nagpabago sa aking buong pagkatao, dahilan upang isarado ko na nang tuluyan ang aking puso. Ngunit paano kung may isang taong mula sa aking nakaraan ang magbalik? Kakayanin ko pa bang tanggapin siya lalo pa't noon pa man ay hindi na kami itinadhana para sa isa't-isa? Handa pa ba akong masaktang muli, bagay na kinakatakot ko? Ako si Celestina de la Serna at muli samahan ninyo akong lumaban sa hamon ng aking buhay.
