I was trying to finish a school project. You know, cram, survive, maybe pass. Next thing I know, I wake up in a dungeon, mistaken for some maharlika girl named Salimbay, attacked by a furry monkey-girl warrior, and dragged into the middle of a political meltdown straight out of a freaking teleserye!!! Now I'm stuck in a world with talking monsters, moody royalty, ancient magic, and colonial overlords who love torture way too much. I didn't ask to be part of a rebellion. I didn't ask to babysit a runaway princess who curses harder than a sailor. Trying not to die. Trying to help. Trying to figure out if there's a way home for me. No pressure, right?

While casually strolling along the aisle of newly released games, Iris saw a fantasy-based VRMMORPG Game named Fate Online: Dreams of Tomorrow, with a promotional line of "you can do everything you want!" The freedom-loving Iris was immediately hooked with it, 'who doesn't love freedom is an idiot!,' she thought. With her wallet empty, Iris survived the second-day sale and happily walked home. Full of excitement and anticipation, Iris set up the game and entered.. "Fate Online: Dreams of Tomorrow Welcome to Fate, a world full of magic and mystery. Explore, Control your own fate, and Make your dreams of tomorrow come true." ..and that, Iris began to think how that comedic promotional line is related with that serious formal introduction that she just read. 'No way, I'm not going to get fooled this time!' Then she started off as an Elf, in an elf village.. who is required to do the quests to go on with the gameplay. Where's the freedom in this?! May dahilan din ako kung bakit napakataray ko. Marahil hindi naman lahat ng pangit ay pangit talaga. Minsan mas maganda pa nga ang mga pangit kaysa sa iba dyan na nagpupumilit magpapaganda eh sa huli wala rin namang nagbago. Pangit padin. Panandalian lang yan. Kayang-kaya ng lahat na magpaganda, sadyang may mga bagay lang talaga na ayaw nilang gawin at baguhin. Meet me, Shyra Lin Tiavez.
