The village of Libet has a dark tradition Every full moon the village gathers together to offer up someone as a sacrifice to the tigers that roam the Libet jungle. Kiara works as a maid in the household of the village chief and is in a secret relationship with his son Tarak. But when their scandalous relationship is brought to light Kiara is condemned to be the next victim of the grim monthly ceremony. Distraught, angry, and heartbroken Kiara is determined not to die weak and afraid at the jaws of a vicious tiger but she soon is shocked to discover that the legends about these tigers are true and that this discovery may change her and villages life forever.
