I resurfaced, gaining S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention, which was mainly because of my 'gift' as Melony Vandenberg, the latest HYDRA leader, put it. My so-called 'gift' is the power to re-write my cellular structure to mimic and copy any animals cells, meaning that I can shapeshift into any number of known animals. The only problem is, I have no idea who I was, where I came from or who my family is. There are only three people who may know of my past. One leads HYDRA. One leads S.H.I.E.L.D. One is James Buchanan Barnes.

It wasn't until Hydra fell and she was still locked away, somewhere in the deep pits of some underground facility, that she realized how much the world had changed. Bucky Barnes remembered very little outside his own name, but he remembered a girl. He remembered a girl with a voice of reason, who spoke only the truth to him, who wanted nothing more than to keep him safe from himself. Soldier 259 is an elite Hydra Super Soldier. She is the competition to the famous Winter Soldier. They've only met once and it was a disaster for Hydra. Now that The Winter Soldier has run away from Hydra, the members are debating whether or not they should risk it and make her go after him. They decide to take the risk and send her and her crew after The Winter Soldier. On her hunt for the famous assassin Soldier 259 discovers stuff about herself that Hydra has kept secret from her, stuff about her mother. Soldier 259 also starts to remember her past life before Hydra, a past life that she is desperate to remember.
