Bakugou's a Tsundere, if he ever had a crush he always felt the need to hurt them, punching, kicking, hitting them, etc. He became like this when 4. He caught his father Masaru beating his mother Mitsuki one night. When Masaru left for work the next morning Bakugou asked Mitsuki why dad hitting her. Mitsuki not wanting to keep her son innocent told him that was how their family showed love or attraction to one another. Bakugou and his innocence little mind thought that was how he was supposed to show love to. Kirishima's a Yandere, when he ever did fall in love he would become incredibly obsessed every moment they spent together and every moment they spent apart. He grew up at a orphanage after both his parents committed suicide and went to a school where most of the orphans were bullied for not having parents. He wanted all the bullies to suffer for hurting his friends. Anytime they would get close he would threaten them while going his switch blade tricks or just beat them up. But as he got older his actions became more and more violent, even going so far as hurting his love interests so they couldn't be with anyone else. Even if it was a person that he never met he wouldn't want anyone near them. First off. Mermaids exist. Kirishima is a Merman, an Alpha Merman. They are incredibly possessive and protective to their Omegas. Their mother died after 13 years of being on the surface, their father died shortly after. Bakugou is 22 years old and he works in a huge (mostly submerged with a roof above water for helicopter landings and docking sites) research building. They take in injured Mermaids and nurse them back to health. A few of them choose to stay on for their lives.

Bakugo was perfectly happy ignoring all romantic feelings for his best friend Eijiro Kirishima. Well that was until he ran into someone with an odd quirk, know the only way to get rid of it is to kiss him. That combined with Kirishima's nightmares, Bakugo wasn't having the best time in the world. The dynamic is half "and they were both bottoms" and half "rude to others but really sweet to one person" so if that's your vibe. This also isn't much of a slow burn. This story isn't going to be bright and happy. Kirishima happens to be going through a tough time. Depression and dark thoughts start to corrupt him from his past. He ends up making it into UA, and is on the same floor as Bakugo in the dorms. But Bakugo starts noticing that kirishima has been acting strangely.
