Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it. Some say fate is beyond our command, but I know better. Our destiny is within us. You just have to be brave enough to see it. I changed my fate four years ago when I accidentally turned me mum into a bear. That was fun. But, now, my fate is changing again, and in ways that I'm not sure if I want it to. I am turning twenty in only a few weeks, and when I turn twenty-one next year, I will be all set to inherit the crown, if me da decides that I'm ready. The only problem is: the rules of the country are that if a princess is to inherit the throne, she is to have a husband before she is crowned. That's the reason I am not looking forward to this year. For one year, I will have the sons of the three clans in our country under the same roof as me. Me parents decided that it would be best to have them "woo" me. But they won't be the only ones. Two princes from two other countries are coming too, because me mum is friends with both of their mums. I doubt that this will work. Ever. I am supposed to find love this year, and me cousin Rapunzel is here to help. But there is no way I will ever fall in love with any of these boys. None of them are brave enough to keep up.

Merida finds Hiccup in her kitchen, bruised and cut. Her family heals him and lets him work at the castle, even though he doesn't remember where he came from or who he is. Hiccup only remembers his name. Can Merida help him remember, and will they find love?

Hiccup, Toothless and Stoick are in Dunbroch to talk about the new 'trade alliance' with the Scots. Hubert, Hamish and Harris are convinced Hiccup is there to marry Merida, and are trying to stop the 'marriage' however they can. Though Hamish and Harris have more of a conscience than Hubert... the triplets have several schemes up their sleeves, but what happens when they lose control?

A series of short stories of Merida and hiccup

Vikings have invaded Scotland, with Alvin and his army seizing DunBroch castle in a night raid. Princess Merida and her mother are taken as prisoners across Scotland and end up on a ship bound for Outcast Island, on which they are later rescued by an unlikely pair. These events having caught the attention of the gods in Asgard, Merida's tragic fate and noble cause to return to the highlands risks dividing the divinities amongst themselves, posing a threat to the peace both on Midgard and Asgard. All the while, Malcolm MacGuffin fights back courageously to reclaim their homeland and find the whereabouts of his beloved princess. Now stranded away from home with her rescuers, will Merida be able to overcome her loses? Can she open up to love and friendship again? Princess Merida -her family famous throughout the lands for a mistaken spell- travels across the sea to the strange Island of Berk. During the visit Merida encounters an old childhood friend, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. When Merida is faced with nightmares of the past, and a strange fear of dragons she didn't know she possessed Hiccup decided that he is going to have to show her, things on Berk aren't as bad as they may seem. This short story explores the consequences of Brave on the Princess of Dunbroch.
