Sequel to Darkness Within. (Please read Darkness Within before reading this book, otherwise, you might be a bit confused) This is the continuing story of Loki and Christine as they surge forward in their struggling relationship. Whilst deeply and madly in love, the two of them remain captive to their own inner self-loathing and doubt. As in the first book, we find that Christine is at death's door step after an extremely dangerous attempt to save her dear friend's life, thus leaving Loki heart broken and baffled at how she could give up her own life for someone else other than him. We are left wondering whether or not her sacrifice was in vain. Even in death, could she reach out to help our beloved God? Or will she be offered a choice to return and help him in her living form? Either way, Christine and Loki are soon to be forced to face a terrible and unknown evil that threatens their lives as well as those they hold dear. Whilst the battles of inner and outer demons combust all around them, they must fight to hold onto the one thing that they cannot survive without. Each other. Will they finally come to terms with who they were each individually born to be? Will they finally learn to forgive themselves of their wretched pasts, and let it all go? Is there a purpose to all that they have endured thus far? Or will this unknown, insidious force tear their world apart and leave them alone with nothing but their suffocating grief? The journey to find the peace and acceptance they both so crave is intertwined, as the power of true love struggles to conquer all. Read on to find out what will next become of our two beloveds.... *I do not own Loki, Thor, Frigga, Odin, or any other Marvel character appearing in this book. *I do, however, own all of the remaining characters, as well as the plot and story line.
