This collection doesn't have an arc to it, or a single theme or style. I simply write from my own thoughts and experiences to hopefully connect others to their own thoughts and experiences. But these poems are meant to create meaningful discussion just as they are meant to create art. I want different perspectives to find errors and contradictions in my work, just as all of us contradict ourselves. Life is never harmonious, which is just as it should be. In these poems I don't intend to stay away from "hot button" topics such as politics, race, religion, class, gender, sexuality, or anything else that separates us. I don't intend to change my feelings to suit those of everyone else's. I intend to stay true to myself the best I can, and it is a privilege to be able to share this with you all.
