Katara has nightmares of drowning underwater- encasing herself in ice for a lonely eternity. They aren't real. They don't come from soulmates. Sokka and Katara are just unlucky.

Flames had followed Erin his entire life. It began with the grisly housefire that consumed his father. Henri Maye had been Erin's entire world and in an instant, in the blink of an eye, he was gone. He couldn't distance himself, he wasn't interested in all forms of life beyond his own. There was one man he desired, one man he wished to study more than anyone else. It didn't matter. Ross was serving a life sentence, and he refused to see Erin no matter how much the boy tried to make contact. That should have been the end. That should have been where the embers fell...

The solar eclipse is over. The invasion troops have been captured by the Fire Nation. Sokka is determined to embark on a solo mission to rescue his father and the others. But one stubborn, dark-haired firebender refuses to let him go alone.

I suck at descriptions I'm sorry, just read the story and find out but uh This is modernized so don't be weirded out also there's no war and no ones tryna capture the avatar cuz that was gonna be hard to write lmao This is kinda a true story I lived so if u have a problem with it then take it up with my life... (it was really hard to incorporate a lot of the things that actually happened so I did what I could and yeah)

takes place after the war was won and zuko was crowned firelord. sokka feels as if something is missing within himself so he heads to the fire nation in hopes of wise words from iroh and looks forward to spending time with zuko during his visit. (zukka, there is not full on smut(they just get cock blocked every time), boyxboy content, sokka is a water bender and katara is not) please don't let no smut keep you from reading, i personally am not good at smut or anything so it won't be full on in this story, it has nothing to do with being uncomfortable with it i'm just not good at it.

What will happen when all of the ensuing tension comes to a head, and the group meets up again in the newly reformed Fire Nation?
