There is an archway in a dark, melancholic room. And it is haunting Emily Potter's dreams. Why else would she be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror? That is only one of the many things in her mind: -A Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a personality like poisoned honey and the face of a toad -A disgruntled house-elf who hates her guts, well, the house-elf hates everyone's guts -Percy Weasley being...Percy Weasley -Her peculiar, yet comical "connection" with her brother -The looming agony of the end-of-the-term Ordinary Wizarding Level exams -The mysterious stolen objects from Filch's file cabinet of confiscated magical items -The unknown descendant of the historical MacKenzie Clan walking down the halls of Hogwarts And lest can we forget, the growing threat of Lord Voldemort. Read on as Emily is faced with the fickleness of the very government of the Wizarding World and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts. This might be the year when Emily forgets her morals and punches a teacher in the face. With a chair. Made out of steel. With spikes. Death's supposed to be final. But a true Black doesn't bow down to any rule, not even that one. Aurora was rescued from dying, caught by her mother, by magic, by a golden glow cast by an angel. Finally back, things have drastically changed. Lord Voldemort's inevitable return has arrived and it seems Aurora was brought back for a reason. She might have been brought back by the light but it was the darkness she came back for. Darkness in the shape of a very attractive young man who leads Aurora further and further away from her past and towards a future she might not be ready for. So while Britain is busy denying the return of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Harry has some obvious problems with his mental health and Dumbledore sets his masterplan in motion, Aurora tries very hard to become what is expected of her after her world has been turned upside down. ~~~ The Princess of Light is the fifth book in the Artemis Lupin series. I recommend you read the other four books first. She was used to investigating mysteries on her own. People were untrustworthy. They lied. They tried to change the past. But the past couldn't be changed. Her own past was complicated. Especially because she wasn't the one hiding it, it was kept from her. For a good reason, they thought. The dream was her only lead. The only way to figure it all out. The dream was simply the end of a curse and the beginning of a nightmare. Because some secrets are better kept secret. The web of lies and deceit only got more complicated. Familymembers talked out of turn. The wise man was far too interested and the dark saw the truth in her eyes. Because her dream was simply the story. The story of betrayal, friendship but mostly death. But the thing that could ruin it all, was the very thing they couldn't change. It was the only truth in the past of lies. Her grey eyes and his black blood. ~started august 2018 - completed 28 december 2018~ *All rights to the Harry Potter universe go to J.K. Rowling.*

Love is the strongest form of magic in the world. Love is worth living for, worth dying for and sometimes even worth killing for. While Harry comes to terms with the Prophecy indicating him as the Chosen One, Aurora finds herself more and more part of a legacy she didn't even know existed until the year before. And then there's Caspian Beaufort, the handsome Lord of a famous wizarding House. Who is he really? And what is he hiding? 1996 was the year of solved mysteries. 1997 the year of Voldemort's strength. This is the time in which everything that had been on the edge finally falls apart and the young students are thrown into a world full of danger, chaos and lethal rascism. ~~~ The Boy who Loved is the sixth book in the Artemis Lupin/Aurora Black series.
