jude stark has had the same daily routine since finishing middle school: wake up, eat, lab work, snack, more lab work, nap, lab work again, maybe sleep, repeat. stuck in the avengers tower under the watchful eye of his protective father, he doesn't have much time for friends or anything outside of acting as tony jr. then, one day, an exasperated happy hogan waltzes into the teenager's lab and hands jude his phone while spewing aggravated syllables. that's how jude stark ends up getting roped in with peter parker and the superhero's web of schemes. the relationship is a means to an end at the start, jude seeking adventure as a way to relieve pressure from his father's expectations and peter in need of help from the next best person besides tony stark, who seems to be neglecting to listen to spider-man's warning about a threat lingering in the city. it starts as this, but, eventually, their relationship morphs into much more, and the two boys experience a rollercoaster of love and loss over the course of just a few years.
