Keith can't sleep. Ever since his older brother disappeared, he's had nightmares that keep him awake at night. It's been two years. As much as he tries to hide it, people started noticing the changes. So, after some advice, Keith writes all his troubles down in a letter sealed in a bottle. He throws it in the ocean, thinking that no one will ever find it. Lance is a merman living beneath the waves in the mer kingdom of Altea. All his life, his family had warned him to never go close to the shore, for fear of being seen; and all his life, Lance had listened to those warnings. So how come he now found himself not only near the shore, but with a human object in his arms? Maybe it was the way the light shone off it, or the strange feeling he had to need to know more about it. What Lance didn't know was that the message hidden inside that bottle would change his life forever. TW: Angst. A lot of it. Somewhere, deep in space, there is a very small planet with only two intelligent beings on it. For as long as he could remember, Keith couldn't touch any living being. The second his skin made contact with it, it would die. He always thought he was alone. Lance is living the life, literally. He gives life to everything he touches, in more ways than one. Everywhere he goes, sunshine and happiness seem to follow him. He always dreamt of a friend. But not like this.

What if Keith had looked like a Galra from the beginning? Scientists on Earth don't normally like not knowing what something is. "I don't care what you look like. You're Keith, and that's all that matters to me."

After a terrible encounter with the Galra, Lance is stranded on a mysterious planet. To add to his worries he's terribly injured, and can't get to any medical supplies. All the while the rest of the team struggles to find their lost paladin, the team is taking it in their own way. Will the team be able to find him before his injuries take over. ------- Characters don't belong to me!

Keith Kogane is a college student who can transform into a purple creature at will- which includes fluffy ears and large, feathered wings. He struggles to keep it a secret, as purple feathers are hard to hide in the snow. Then Lance comes. But, over time they grow closer, and Keith's secret also becomes harder to hide. Well, it's Klance. It's also my first successful fanfic (and by that I mean I had motivation throughout), so if it sucks, please tell me nicely (and give me tips if you have any).
