But Merlin's not the only one with a secret. And maybe destinies aren't always as they seem. AU where I use elements of all five seasons in a way that does not always comply with canon. I decided to expand on my Methur fanfic, and start their story from the very beginning. Merlin is a young warlock who somehow finds himself as the manservant to the prince of Camelot. At first, he cannot stand his princely employer, but when the two start to spend more time together they realise that there may be a fine line between disgust and desire. © 2014, Chiara Sullivan. Merlin has always looked out for Arthur, no matter what. But at what cost? Because of his destiny he has given up almost everyone he holds dear to him to ensure that Albion is created. And whilst seeing Arthur succeed is a reward in and of itself, all that Merlin has gone through to get Arthur on the throne of Camelot is starting to catch up with him.

When Merlin and Arthur go on a hunting trip together, Merlin tells Arthur about his magic, and things seem broken between them. Will things be mended, or is everything lost? (There will be a sequel)
