Bai Fengjiu uses her blood to seal an evil tiger spirit, causing irreparable damage to her spirit. She finds out that she has until her Heavenly Trial to live. She knows that Donghua Dijun does not love her back, but she couldn't help but be a little selfish to reach for her dream one last time before she perishes. "Donghua will you marry me? This story is about the birth and development of the best friendship between Donghua Dijun and his little fox. In my re-imagined story, I am attempting to give our beloved leads a genuine chance at love with their own thoughts, behaviors, and desires. Granted, life is full of misunderstandings, obstacles and karma. Donghua learns that being a heartless god has its consequences. Having been careless and inconsiderate with the hearts of those who had fawned over him, he'll find it difficult to fulfill his. At its very core, this is a character-driven story about healing from trauma and the growth of a deep and meaningful friendship. It also attempts to explore the coming of age of love and desire for each of them. Those who can't tolerate slow burns should avoid reading this story ;) They meet much later, (she never becomes his maid) and was not involved in the BQ/Su Su/YH situation. Xiao Bai is young and very innocent as this story unfolds. Donghua is arrogant and obtuse, though with more playfulness and tenderness in the style of The Pillow Book. His edges are much softer. There are quite a few characters from the original series. Zhe Yan, Mo Yuan, Bai Zhen, Bai Qian, Ye Hua, Lian Song, Si Ming and Zhong Lin will make appearances, plus others from Eternal Love and ELOD. Lust + desire will play a part of this story so mature themes/content in later chapters. Reader discretion advised. Story is also LGBTQ+ friendly, as am I. Especially when she sees the destiny she was supposed to have that is no longer available to her and it has a devastating effect on her. Li Hua being well hidden upon the Holy Blue Sea, always protected by Dong Hua, never had she once took a inch out of her prison or so she calls it. Li Hua was born similarly to Dong Hua. The only difference was that she was particularly favored more by the heavens, thus given the power of sight. The gift of sight, able to determine what action will be taken just by a glance. Foreseeing fates of all whom appear before her, Li Hua was soon discovered by Dong Hua before his succession towards being ruler of earth and heaven. At alas, unfortunately being killed upon the final battle, Heavens above anguish of the sight of their daughter's death, given her a way of life. The only problem was the slumber of a hundred thousand years. As long as the slumber was, Dong Hua acted as a looking glass to the outer world while Li Hua was deep in slumber. Unknowingly to others, Dong Hua sometimes venture onto earth for the sake of his little sister's amusement. As years goes by Li Hua awoken from slumber wanting to leave Holy Blue Sea to explore the outside world. Intervened by Dong Hua she unwillingly stayed. Of course she only willingly stayed due to the fate of both Dong Hua and Feng Jiu Given Dong Hua and Feng Jiu's secure fate after their ninth child she slip into the mortal world. Of course as a younger sister of Dong Hua she wasn't lacking in talent nor in brains. The only compartment she lacked in was, experiences involving love. Li Hua will experience many things along her journey but then again who doesn't?
