HIGHEST: #6 IN HUMOR "Your command over sarcasm appalls me." "As does your ability to comprehend it." With a practically non-existent social life, extra study sessions at the best coaching institute in the city, a mind numbingly boring job and a best friend whose sole purpose seems to be getting her a boyfriend, Alankrita Sundar was content with the hand she'd been dealt. But when she receives a text from Ruhan Das, a boy whose very presence made her skin crawl, she realises that the bland oatmeal that is her life was in dire need of some spicing up. What began as a message sent to the wrong person soon turns into a twisted game of Guess Who, as Alankrita realizes faking an identity opens a lot of previously bolted doors- including one that leads to the darkest secrets of one of the most well-known students in school. The series of messages exchanged between Alankrita and Ruhan explore several aspects of each other's life, and through their shared experiences they realise that they aren't as different as they'd previously imagined.

An Arranged Setup that Sparkled into a Love Story of Its Own. »»---♡---«« 'His nose is crooked!' 'I think he has some gray hair!' 'He looks too mature for his age!' 'Nah! He is seven years older than you!' 'One of his eyes seems smaller!' 'Don't you think he is smiling too much in this photo?' 'God! I wonder how, even after looking at hundreds of biodatas every day, none could catch my parents' attention. With every biodata they see, they manage to point out some flaw or another.' »»---♡---«« An Indian Arranged Marriage Story. Modern-day marriages are no cakewalk, and arranged marriages are certainly not. Set against an Indian backdrop, "Love Unrushed!" explores not only the complexities of an arranged marriage but also the pursuit of individual happiness within the confines of societal norms. If you are up for a simple and subtle blooming love story, ponder-worthy thoughts with social stigmas and taboos effortlessly slipped in here and there, and some real, relatable characters, then this story is definitely for you. You will find a part of Riya and Aditya hidden within you as they navigate their arranged marriage, unveiling the hidden layers of their personal and professional insecurities. There will be no unrealistic villains or overdramatic plots, but this story will undoubtedly highlight the true version of how marriages are arranged in India. It doesn't always have to be a glass slipper or a kissing frog. Sometimes it takes a loopy, little hullabaloo! ---------------------------------- "I'm sure you remember the episode 'The One With The Pediatrician' from the sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. where Joey chooses to bellow out the name 'MIKE' in the cafe because he had lied about setting up a date for Phoebe with some guy named Mike." she folded her arms. "Your point being?" I raised an eyebrow at her as all of us were keenly listening to her. "We have a name we require- Kshitij. We have a cafe right here and I'm sure all of us are capable of yelling a name." She shrugged. "Yeah right. That would work well. My life is a sitcom and I'm sure there is a Kshitij sitting here, waiting for us to shout his name out!" I stated sarcastically and started walking towards the service counter where Julie was still on short of hands. "Let's try." She suggested over my shoulders. "Sure!" I laughed as I positioned myself behind the counter. Putting on an apron on my large tee, I bent down to pull out a pastry from the glass showcase below for a customer waiting. I handed the pastry on a tray to that impatient customer on the other side when I heard--- "KSHITIJ!!!!!" Drishti's loud voice from the cash counter silenced the entire cafe. I stood there frozen contemplating the recent happening. Did she just do that? All the heads in the cafe were twisted in her direction. She had a satisfactory smile on her face. The other three of my friends were as shocked as I was. But the thing that followed this hullabaloo shocked us even more- "Yes?" A masculine voice responded from one of the tables near the reading nook. Book Cover by: Mahi_Sinha27
