Or will the weight of public expectation break the bridge of their ever strange relationship for good? This is an Evelynn short story I've been brewing on for a while. Think of it as a practice exercise before I get back to trying longform writing.

Our protagonist, Y/N, is one of these "failures", at first glance a simple, 24-year-old powerless with nothing really interesting about him, but his past and unfortunately his present are very, very bleak. But a single night is all it took, to bring him salvation and some much-needed hope for his future. I would also like to credit @thatthrowaway and his book for being the main reason for me to start writing, while this story most likely will not follow the same story path as his, it still is inspired by it.
