Lucy had left Fairy Tail three years ago, completely abandoning that point in her life. She hasn't seen any one of them in what seems like forever, but when she's put into a life or death situation, and she thinks that death is near, her saviour appears. Natsu. She's caught up in the moment, in the happiness and exhilaration of having a familiar face around. But Natsu keeps pushing and pushing for Lucy to go back to Fairy Tail. And in order to do that...she's going to have to confront the reason she had left all those years ago.

Lucy's breath hitched. "You saved mine, so I'll have to save yours. That's just how it works. So, naturally, I can't leave until that happens. I'm beholden to you." No way. This is so not true. He thinks he has his life set ahead of, as he is going to be the heir of the company after he finishes high school. Lucy's friends suggest she attends school, since she hasn't had the experience or ever gone to a public school. She ends up going to Fairy Tail High School.
