Stan is the captain of South Park's ice hockey team. Kyle is a top figure skater that's closed himself off from the world. Neither of them are nearly as in control of their lives as they'd lead you to believe.

It's been two years since Stan and Kyle stopped being friends. Stan turned to alcohol to numb himself, while Kyle buried himself in school.
