The best second line for any novel would be "and then the murders began," that's a fact. Picture it- all your favorite books with their first lines. Now take those lines and add "And then the murders began" as the second. I always loved doing that- I don't quite so much anymore. It doesn't make such a great second line for life, not after my life followed that same path- everything was great: hot boyfriend, tons of other friends...Yeah, it was great. Then, of course, somebody had to decide that they wanted to test the range of their brand new AK, right in the middle of an assembly. Yeah, not good. Now I'm stuck down here, hiding in Mrs. McGinnis's room, hoping they don't find me (again), and that I don't bleed out before the cops get here. Yeah, it's not good. If I don't bleed out, I'll probably be scarred for life. If I don't, which right now, I think is rather unlikely, then here's hoping my friends and schoolmates will tell the world about what happened here last March Fifteenth. No, scratch that, I will be scarred for life, both literally and figuratively. I hope the world remembers me.... Sanguinely Yours, Electra J. Stehlen-Wilde. -- What do you get when you cross hidden wounds and unheeded pleas for help in a small town with a high school of animals? Blame pointed at the innocent when the true culprits are still on the loose and preparing to strike again.. - Electra's life was hard enough already, now sixteen mammals are dead, and the blame thrown solely on her innocent self. What's a wolf to do? Prove her innocence, what else- and along the way, stop history from repeating itself.

The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class, thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. I might edit it someday, though. I had a decent idea when I started, but that quickly went out the window.

In a small yet sparsely populated town called, Summerville. Where the sun's ethereal radiance shining was always overhead and the soothing heat could be felt. As the rays of the sun danced upon, caressed and hugged one's skin with a warmth that was so divine. Somehow the skies always seemed to appear in such a way, that was magnificently vibrant. Yet it had managed to maintain a distinctive rosy look to it. It was as if it had conjoined as one with nature and it looked anything less than riveting to the eyes of the beholder. Now in a beautiful safe haven like Summerville, that had appeared so strategically and mysteriously hidden away to maintain an enigma . It was akin to that of a heavenly paradise that provided security, safety and some sense of sanity. While the atmosphere maintained a calm and welcoming ambience. It seemed as if the inhabitants had learned to coexist and gotten along with each other just fine. Yet somehow my mother and I had thought that this could be the place to create something new. It was as if we were given a second chance to start life over and right our transgressions and indiscretions. Moreover we had thought that this was the perfect sanctuary to hide... when the Devil comes. Anna Mariah Darkstar is my name, and Andrea Jones was my mother. The great evil, Samiel Darkstar was my father. He was the monster whose clutches we had barely escaped from.
