When the ferret suddenly comes back from the dead and attacks them, they have an entirely new set of problems on their hands. *** People always figured the apocalypse would come someday, but no one imagined it'd begin with a tainted batch of soap and a ferret. (Completed/Old version) Year 2020 A mutation in humans DNA modified about half the population. Changing them into creatures and giving them magical abilities that were only found in books and movies. Reason? No one knows. That is until scientists from a strange company start taking in Mutants and training them for who knows what. Two step siblings who wanted no part in this are now being tasked with a dangerous mission and on the run from the police. Can the two stop society from turning in on themselves before it's too late? -- I looked at Reese as tears filled her eyes. The girl with butterfly wings disappeared leaving the two of us alone. A warm breeze blew by making the tall grass and our hair dance in the wind. 'I didn't ask for this', she said before wiping her eyes with her hands. "Nobody did, Reese but it's up to us to save the world," I said standing up and held out my hand. "Are you ready to become a superhero with me?" She took my hand and smiled. A smile I haven't seen in a long time, 'No.' "Me neither." Complete- December 2019 Rewrite is now available tilted 'Wild Soul: The Historian and the Seer'
