Granger, Granger, Granger, Granger. In an unending echo of utter embarrassment. The presentation parameters were between five and ten minutes. Draco's clocked in at seven minutes and twenty-four seconds. It would have been less mortifying for him to lay on the floor for that amount of time and make dying whale noises.

She can see the ocean, she can see the glittering sun rays as it shines over the deep blue water and gives it a golden hue that for once she hates. She can hear the waves as they pulse upon the shore in a steady rhythmic beat. The waves come in as the dancing hem of a long and flowing gown and she can hear them crashing on top of each other. She can feel the water as it hits her ankles every five seconds, can feel the cold of the water that after so much time, feels like the fire of the sun. She can smell the fresh and chilly odor of the ocean and she relishes in the strange raw smell that hits her nostrils and invades her nose each time she inhales. She wonders if wanting to taste the ocean is selfish...and she wonders if she even cares that it's selfish. (Dramione one shot)

Published in 1862 by Lady Apollonia Nott, Courting Customs Most Sacred is the comprehensive text for any pureblood family seeking to arrange suitable matches for their children. It's also patently ridiculous and not at all appropriate for the modern era of dating. It is certainly not how one should woo Hermione Granger, at any rate.

Hermione hadn't meant for this to become the focus of her evening. She had plenty of other, more professional, more productive things toward which she should direct her focus. Glasses. And an open collar. No, not those things. Hermione sipped her drink and tried to set her mind to rights. She needed to plan her conversations with donors tonight. She needed to concentrate on networking and pitching her latest ideas. She needed to stop ogling Draco Malfoy. For mightbewriting's birthday.
