Ich versuchte mich zu beeilen, doch nichts tat sich. "Fuck!" fluchte ich, als mir plötzlich die zweckentfremdete Haarklammer aus den schwitzenden, zitternden Fingern glitt und auf den Boden fiel. Ich zog scharf die Luft ein. Es war zwar ein sehr leises Geräusch gewesen, aber mir kam es vor wie ein lauter Schrei durch die Stille. Die Schritte ein paar Gänge entfernt erstarrten. 'Ihr habt mich nicht gehört, ihr habt mich nicht gehört, ihr habt mich nicht gehört...' betete ich stumm, während ich meiner Lunge das Atmen verbot. Doch dann hörte ich, wie sich die Schritte langsam in meine Richtung bewegten. Verdammt.
