This is a journey of two meta-humans: Seraphine Grove who attends the Hero Prep School and Kal Knox who attends the Villain Academy. They both have the ability to channel electricity to create lightning, which is known as Electrokinesis. Kal's commitment to his father leads him to Sera on a co-op mission, while Sera's past leads her to Kal. This story is paradoxical, but it also breaks boundaries of cliches discussed in many other love stories. I may use the term "Hero" and "Villain" , but I hope you recognize that these titles are subjective to whose story you are reading. The only difference between them is the beholder's perception. There's light. There's dark. There's light in dark and vice versa. Nothing is truly black and white. Hell, nothing is just subjective to colors. Through this collection of excerpts, I play with the idea of biases, constantly changing the focal point. Shedding light, or illuminating shadows. Maybe the Hero makes the wrongs choices for the right reason, or maybe the Villain grasps on to the frayed edges of his morality too tightly. Although I focus on these characters falling in love, I also draw light to both of them falling in love with being alive. I hope you too, fall in love with being alive. There's no better way to live then through the thousands of characters embedded in the pages of a great novel. I wish for you to see your flaws (and strengths) in them. I guess I've succeeded if you think that you would have loved her, or fallen for him.

Hello, I'm not going to lie. I suck at conversations, especially if I have to introduce myself. This is partially what I write about. You see, I write when I freak out. I write when I can't deal with being myself. So I hope you will take a look into my life. Now I'm going to go, a bit proud of myself for writing this. All of this. Pental Pal (noun) - one who exchanges letters to one another as pen pals. But uses the same writing utensil, in this case, a pentel pencil. They never wanted to do this from the start. The thought of writing to a complete stranger. Never seeing whose handwriting is in the letter you're reading. Someone who could be miles, maybe even oceans away from you. And all you get is a picture and a name. To Lizzabeth Teschler, this is extra credit. Even though she doesn't want to do this, she had to. But she's doing this for extra credit so she can still maintain her title of having the highest GPA record. Then she could finish the rest of high school and go off to college. Her whole life is all planned out for her, and she can't do anything to change it. There's a future for her, but not the one she wants. To William Patier, it's cruel torture. He had to do this against his will. This is his last chance before he gets shipped off to military school. Nothing but waking up at dawn, eating disgusting food, and not have a single girl in sight every day. After he graduates from school, who knows where he'll find himself. There's no future for him, not like there's any way to change it. So two complete opposites from different worlds are forced to write each other for a whole year. Add that with some arguments, secrets, two pentel pencils, some cookie butter, a Green Day album, an origami heart, some coffee from Starbucks, two teachers dating, Eddie Anderson, a rival and a cheater. With all that bundled up, who knows what will happen? But at least they don't know each other... right?
