These new humans were born with the ability to communicate with an ancient power, dark energy. In nature, some animals also evolved over a thousand years and produced significant evolution. These evolved animals also possessed dark energy and were called favored animals by the New Humans. Despite the power of dark energy, the bodies of the new humans were unable to utilize its full strength. Some Neo-humans became more powerful by exercising their dark energy and became known as sub-superhuman beings. Other Neo-humans found that favored beasts with dark energy properties similar to their own could resonate with them and gain great power through merging. The war lasted for ten years, and both sides suffered significant losses. During this war, the federal government developed a secret weapon that could fight against the New Humans - mechanical beasts. These super-intelligent mechanical beasts could merge with Ancient Human warriors, stimulating the warriors' potential and forming powerful mechanical warriors. Over the long years, the creatures on Earth began a new round of evolution. A portion of humans mastered dark energy, and certain lucky animals gained this power and became favored beasts. Favored Beasts were divided into different levels according to the dark energy attributes and grades they possessed.

Well, this wasn't exactly what Sebastian thought he was going to have to deal with when he came to this forest. He was looking for a werebear that had lost its mind somewhere out here. He forgot that they aren't clothed when they shifted. A blush came to his cheeks as he forced his eyes to stay on the man's face. Dammit all.
