Anne Frank was a Jewish teenage girl during the Second World War who defended her thoughts through her writing. Wherever she went she kept with her a small autograph book she used as a diary. After the war, her diary entries were published. Her writing was translated into seventy different languages with more than three thousand copies sold! She was entitled one of the most important people of the twentieth century for having the courage to write down her thoughts even through the darkest moments of her life and history. Through her writings, she reminds people today of our common humanity and the goodness that we each have buried deep within our hearts. Through her writings she lives on!
