Priscilla Baggins has always wondered what life outside the Shire was like, but never dared to leave it. Living with her brother Bilbo in Bag End, she's content to live as an ordinary hobbit, baking and gardening and living simply. However, when a lone wizard's knock on the door one day leads to an entire party of dwarves on her hearth and a taste for adventure on her palette, Priscilla learns things about herself that she never thought was possible, and begins to wonder where her heart truly lies... particularly where a certain young dwarf is concerned. "Someday you will return home too." Reluctantly, she opened one of the heavy wooden chests. The lid creaked loudly as it flipped back. A dusty cloak. Coins. Letters. Rusty nails. At least a few useful things. She threw the cloak over her shoulders, put the money in her pockets and disappeared outside. Was it worth it? What was still anything worth...? Her hand slid into her leather doublet. She felt something ... soft, very small in her hand. Slowly she pulled it out and eyed it. The little crushed blue flower. Forget-Me-Not. "I will never forget you." She made her way northwarth. Homecoming. The rights of the characters, which I have invented myself and built into this plot, belong to me. She never asked to be a seer. She never asked to carry visions that tear pieces of her away each time she looks into the dark. But when Gandalf brings Maureen to Thorin Oakenshield, she finds herself bound to thirteen dwarves and one stubborn King who swears she is under his protection. From the gold-lit halls of Erebor to the shadowed forests of Mirkwood, Maureen walks a road filled with visions of blood, fire, and loss. Every glimpse into the future shows her the same unbearable truth: Thorin's death. Yet the closer she draws to him, the harder it becomes to let go. Thorin has weathered exile, fire, and battle-but nothing shakes him like the woman fate has placed in his path. She is fire and defiance, tenderness and steel, and though she insists her gift will one day destroy her, he refuses to surrender her to prophecy. Not to Azog, not to kings who would bargain for her, not even to the madness of his own gold-sickness. As kingdoms clash, armies gather, and dragon-fire burns, a bond forged between King and Seer may be the only thing strong enough to defy fate itself. But can love endure when prophecy demands sacrifice? A tale of destiny, devotion, and the fierce love that can turn the tide of war-Maureen and Thorin's story will break your heart and heal it, leaving you breathless until the last page.

Aleanna always thought she was just a seamstress living in a small town south of Erebor. But when Thorin Oakenshield sweeps through town searching for work after Erebor's fall, she knows it's not the first time she's seen him. Nor would it be her last. ***This story was inspired by the scenes of young Thorin working as a smith in the towns of men. It takes place shortly after the dwarves' exile from Erebor, as they journey south through the Wilderlands east of Mirkwood then westward to Dunland. *****YIKES! Eilin Firebeard will find herself in Erebor at the end of the battle of the five armies. There she will have to come to terms with how different she really is. She will also meet a legend who will teach her that bard songs just barely scratch the surface of the man the world knows as the hero. That they are not enough to show the grim reality that forged the hero's stony personality. Thorin's eyes were reflective, "Master Baggins the world thinks that dwarves are born from stone and to stone they must return. Shall we let them believe that or tell them the truth? That we love only once and it lasts forever, and do you believe that is a blessing or a curse?"
