It's a fight-or-flight situation, a reincarnation of her past, a chance for him to right the wrongs he did by her. I will be your heart, if you will be my shield. In a world where magic supposedly didn't exist, Serena has spent years struggling to conceal her unpredictable singing magic. While wishing for a peaceful life where she can sing without fear, she sees a man in handcuffs being forced into a shady research center. Their eyes meet, and the soulbond is forged. Darien is not from this world, and he's been held captive for years. With the soulbond amplifying his strength, he can fight his way through almost everything, but not every danger can be fought with fists. Their love draws them together even as power-hungry enemies try to pry them apart. They want to control Darien for their own purposes, but he's too strong to be controlled by force. Their love is their greatest strength-and their biggest vulnerability. But magic has its own rules, and no song can go unanswered. Excerpt: I pitied the man, although with so many cops around him, he was quite dangerous. Who needed 30 police officers to supervise one guy who in handcuffs and leg shackles? I watched him walk down the gauntlet between the rows of officers. It was as if I couldn't look away. He paused and looked around. His brilliant glowing blue eyes seemed to meet mine across the vast distance. I couldn't even blink as his eyes seemed to hold mine. The trees of a park broke our locked gaze as the bus kept on driving. I took a deep breath, suddenly realizing that I had stopped breathing the moment our eyes met. I had never seen such blue eyes before-and they glowed! A shiver ran through me. I had been too far away to make out the color of the man's eyes. My eyes watched the trees, hoping for a break in them so I could see the man again. I had no such luck. --- Fade-to-black action fantasy romance Copyright November 2017. And then I tripped. I don't know what it was, or how, but my body slammed against the soaked surface of the ground and I felt my face scrape against rock. I bit back a shriek of pain. I just had to get home, that's all. I pushed myself off the ground and rid my hands of the wet muck they were covered in. I bent down to pick up my board, which hadn't gone too far. When I saw it, I knew something was off. I didn't need to see it completely to know what. And that's when I let that shriek of fear escape my mouth.

READ AT OWN RISK One other version available. ×××××× It started with a dare. It ended with something so much more serious. Braelyn Sawyer was the girl who kept to herself. She was barely recognized at school unless one of her brothers' fangirls needed Braelyn to pass a message. Her two older brothers, Nathan and Nick, were the most popular guys in the school, following in their other brother's, Kyle, footsteps, unlike Braelyn. She kept her nose in her books, and she was pretty quiet unless you tick her off. Ridge McCain was the one who ran with the popular crowd. He was one of the biggest players in school, like Braelyn's brothers. To keep up his reputation, he did almost anything, and that's what started it all. Ridge was dared to kiss Braelyn, and that's just the beginning.

🎄 This is the early draft of A Wish with a Bow. The published edition is now available in ebook & paperback on Amazon and other retailers. Callie Ericsson isn't asking for much this Christmas-just a little peace, a drama-free family dinner, and maybe a date who won't vanish before New Year's. Instead, she finds herself juggling her sister's sharp remarks, rejection letters from colleges, and a string of anonymous notes determined to ruin her holiday spirit. The only thing keeping her (mostly) sane? Wrapping gifts at the mall. It's repetitive, sure, but Callie secretly loves knowing she's adding a little extra joy to someone else's Christmas morning. That, and the fact that Brett-the mall's maddeningly charming maintenance guy-keeps showing up at her counter. He's infuriating, unexpectedly sweet, and far too handsome to be interested in someone like her... right? But the holidays have a way of exposing secrets right along with feelings. And when it comes to matters of the heart, Callie might just discover that the best gifts can't be tied up with ribbon.
