18+ AGE YALL. THERES ADULT THEMES FAM AND ILL FIGHT. There's a stereotype about small-town girls. The ones that grew up on dirt roads in towns with populations in the hundreds. They marry quick and young. You'll find them near their hearth in long skirts with rounded stomachs, cooking dinner to the feel of the floorboards beneath bare feet. I'm a small-town girl, but I don't fall into that stereotype. However, I can tell you that stereotypes exist for a reason. You'd just never guess the reason for Crossroads, Ohio. A sinful name for a town, really. You'd think they'd have chosen something a little less haunting. Maybe that caused it. Or maybe it caused that. No one around here is really sure anymore. We only know what we know. And, nobody talks about it -openly at least. It isn't good form. But mommas warn their daughters in the dark of the night, warn them from the boogie man, the witches, the wolves, and the dark-eyed men. Sons take dark-eyed wives bed, Through them, the line is interbred, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen. Yet, fathers, mothers, brothers; kin, Shame the girls who fall for dark eyed men.

Evelyn --Lyn-- Nettle cleans up messes, usually the magical kind...or maybe the human kind depending on how you look at it. She's been doing it for ages, and except for a few close calls she's managed to stay relatively unscathed. So, when she's summoned by a night dark creature to clean up a rather ghastly issue, she 's not anticipating it to be anything more than 'normal'. An engraved summons from a ruling king certainly isn't 'normal'. A trek across the faelands hunting down a poisonous magical item and its thief is about the farthest thing from normal Lyn ever anticipated, and as an Iron Minder, that's saying a lot. ********** It's a working description. I may change it later. Updates on this will be sporadic at best as it's a funsies side project I'm working on between The Legacy of Val'Dornn updates.

Lmao I can't be stopped. Just gonna write a god based romance because I can't be stopped and I have a lot of stories that intersect in their respective worlds. Actual description to come. Just know this is about a god and a human and like seemingly everything else on my profile it's a romance. ***** I should also mention that I'm cowriting in this world (we will each have our own separate stories within the same universe) with a good friend of mine, whom I dedicate my growth as a writer to as she's been there since the very beginning pushing me to get better each and every time I write. She might decide to post her own story which will likely intermingle with mine in some ways. I'll make sure to update if she does!

Hadley Fisher had a gift when it came to playing the piano and a curse when it came to getting along with her instructors. She had never been challenged or inspired until the strange Ms. Brunks began to teach. A melody so unearthly filled her soul and mind and yet the young prodigy could never replicate the sound produced by her instructor. Without warning, Ms. Brunks severs ties, leaving Hadley obsessed yet futilely trying to perfect the piece. Years later Hadley hears the same melody at a piano recital, only this time it is another university student playing the tune. Once again overcome by the music she could never play, Hadley finds herself swept up into a plot to spy on a god. Yeah, that last sentence is not where you were expecting this story to go was it? It's fine. Hadley was not expecting it either.
