Because of a family tradition, she was named after a star. Because she had platinum blonde hair her middle name meant the dawn. Because her father was a notorious mass murderer her last name was a burden to carry around. Her name was Vindemiatrix Aurora Black but she much preferred being called V. She lived an outcasted life but when she thought she had hit rock bottom, things got much worse. But every day, at the crack of dawn, she woke up and did something many struggled to do. She counted her blessings.

Draco Malfoy. One of the most arrogant teenage boys in Slytherin's house. He struts through the school and doesn't miss an opportunity to cut someone down, just as he has been by his father his entire life. Now enter Elena Crowe. A quiet girl who tries her hardest to stay out of trouble, and one of Ravenclaw's best students. She always has the best answers and never fails to help someone in need, even if they may not deserve it. In their sixth year at Hogwarts, Draco finally runs into Elena, whom he has never seemed to notice before. Elena does her absolute best to stay away from him, because all he can be is trouble, but Draco finds amusement by forcing himself into her life. For what reason, he doesn't know; but what he does know is that he enjoys bantering with this quiet girl, because even she can get riled up and fight back. But Draco will see that Elena is a lot more than what she may seem. Soon he will be battling morales, his past, his family, and both of them may end up facing off in the final battle not with Lord Voldemort, but each other.

Oh where the hell was this going to? With a heart beating as if she'd been chased by a lot of gigantic elephant sized spiders she stood there. It was not as if she didn't think it would ever happen - that she would face him. But in such a broken state? Draco had always been one of the people you knew but didn't interact with. Surely not as a mudblood muggleborn, though now he was sat in a deserted hallway. Lips purple from the cold and big black bags under his dark eyes. She was not a girl to easily fall or come easily but she was the girl to help and that counted for something. - See how the two of them form a bond stronger than friendship. But notice how fate and duty ruin whatever was dear to them. - Bear in mind this was written in like 2015. I am not gonna edit all my notes i wrote as a fifteen year old but yeah! No J.K. Rowling fan here.
