With all of the markings of the work of fate, he gets to know a girl who, in contrast to himself, doesn't have the friendships necessary to enjoy what life has to throw at her. After he extends an accepting hand, however, he learns that she is plagued by a variety of health problems; these health problems, combined with the effects of Murphy's Law, may put her in even more danger than Milo himself.
