16-year-old Carrie Evans is haunted from the memories of her past she's been trying to forget ever since she moved states. But can she run from them forever when a new boy comes to town and reminds her that even in the bad, there's still good things for her to hold onto? *** Carrie doesn't need to love and with her previous dating experience ending in heartbreak, she's decided it's best to swear off boys for the rest of high school if only to save the broken pieces of her heart. Along with avoiding drama and fights among her friends, she's balancing precariously on the safe side to avoid making the same mistakes she's made before. When a new boy starts at school, she can't help but be reminded of her past: the bad and the good as she realises that, maybe her broken heart can find love again. But with a new popularity streak comes fake friends and followers, people who are eager to start a fight and once the drama starts? There's no going back. *** Blurb courtesy of @catlegis -------------------------------------------------- Thank you so much for reading my story!! No mourners, no funerals. It passed for good luck. As if every criminal didn't know its true meaning, that they were nothing but barrel rats crawling through the gutter. They said it, as if they didn't know that one day, they would die and the world would not bat a lash. Not a single person would care, mourn or cry. The barrel rats were an infestation, a mass of scrabbling bodies all fighting to survive. They knew better then to let their hopes be high, or their hearts be as soft as their hide. No mourners, no funerals. Criminals have an interesting sense of humor, don't you think, dear readers? Cover and description by @Night_Shadowedcat
