Olivia Johnson never expected herself to fall for someone so easily. Especially not Joshua Rodriguez, the local prankster and joke. Your life could have been worse. Sure, you had a nasty smoking habit. And sure, you'd been a stumbling drunk from the day you learned to swallow- and sure, you worked a dead-end job that barely covered the rent. But all those trifles suddenly felt a whole lot smaller when you were looking down at hands that weren't your own. And a grisly circus troupe was looking right back. This is a Jax x reader I'm sorry for my sins. The reader is also a cartoon canine 'cuz I said so. Probably more plot than romance because I just got done reading The Shining and Doctor Sleep, so I WILL be annoying about the psychological horror in this.

Waking up in the digital circus, you have no idea what to expect and don't remember a single thing before coming. You find yourself as a crocheted grey doll, with grey hair and grey clothes, and despite not remembering your past, you know this isn't right. You meet friends and a certain annoying rabbit, one that will never feel the way you feel... you think. And what's up with these little purple petals you're now suddenly vomiting? I labeled this as xreader/oc because this was meant to be xreader but I hate using y/n so I gave the reader a very generic name and generic-looking character description May be inaccurate; I haven't consumed anything TADC in a while Updates every week! "And finally, Jax!" I scanned the crowd, searching for this 'Jax'. "Uh..." Gloved hands grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. Standing there was the rabbit I saw earlier. "'Sup, mousie," Jax said, leaning his body against my short figure-which reached up to his chest-placing an arm atop my head. I looked at my hands. When I moved my arm, the avatar moved along with it, black gloves moving at the same time as I did. Gently, I pressed my hands to my eyes, and- Nothing. The headset was gone. "What the @$_&." I clawed at my face, trying to remove the piece of technology. "Where did it go?" I pulled at my skin, trying to feel something, anything that was there, but nothing. Just skin. "Just keep pulling at it, it always works, mousie," Jax said, patting my cheek. I glared up at him. "Shut the @$&+ up." ~•~•~ The first thing I remembered when I came here was falling. Then I come here and I'm still falling. I bought some VR headset, put it on, and it cost me my future. Now, I'm stuck with people who aren't exactly people, an teeth-and-eyeball AI, and some annoying periwinkle rabbit. I've become a little muse of a mouse, supposed to be some sort of artistic inspiration. Yeah, right. But music is my safe space, and I was sent here with a flute and a purpose: to bring sound to the circus. I can either become the conductor or let people see me as nothing more than a statue in some museum.
