Time, a strange thing time is. The flow of time is always cruel. Its speeds seems different for each person, but no one can change it. A thing that doesn't change with time is a memory of younger days. You cannot stop these events from happening. It is better to give into defeat, then fight what you know can't be helped. Because someday, the time will come when your childhood days will be only mere memories of what you have become. The world does change, And so do you. The Hero of Time has endured many hardships, but none compared to what will happen when he returns to Hyrule. This new burden has none to do with enimies, or danger, but with everyday life Link is growing up. And there is no going back to his childhood anymore. There is not an Ocarina or sacred sword to send him back... Where he now wants to return. Just himself, his beloved kingdom, and the princess he would give his life for.

Zelda is a lonely junior at Hyrule High School, and she is constantly a victim of Ganondorf and his gang's bullying. Link is a popular basketball player who everyone wants to be friends with. He didn't even know Zelda existed until they were in the same biology group. When Link notices Ganondorf's awful treatment of Zelda, will he become the knight in shining armor she's been waiting for? Many see him and think he is simply a talented individual who hasn't seen a bit of struggle or a hard day in his life. Everyone knows of Link, the Hylian Champion who will fight along with the four other Champions against Calamity Ganon, but does anyone know how Link came to be that great Hylian Champion in the first place? This is my head-cannon story of BOTW Link's childhood and life before becoming Zelda's appointed knight. It is not cannon from Nintendo, and you can't prove it right, but you can't prove it wrong either! The Legend of Zelda and most of the main characters are owned by Nintendo, but the actual story and some of the other main characters comes from my imagination.
