It was 300 years after the Moon's Assassin died and the Assassin Pack stopped being needed. When Diana died, so did darkness. Rogues were no longer, and hunters dwindled to nothing. Xavier Raven became a powerful alpha of the retired assassins, now just a regular old pack. They grew in numbers and in strength. The one thing they lacked however, was a Luna... for Xavier refused to mate with another. Others had no idea why, to them Diana was dead and gone. Had been for 300 years... but to him, she was still alive, still beating and ready to fight. The night of his 31 birthday he was gifted with the moon Goddess, who gave him Life. He hadn't aged a day, still as strong and powerful as before, and this is why he's the most powerful Alpha of them all. Now things seemed to be okay, children were taught the Moon's Legend, and everyone went to visit Diana's grave. But only one person still alive knew the truth, Xavier. Darkness was coming back, bringing Lucifer with it. However, Lucifer isn't the only one being brought back. No, Diana's coming, and she's coming soon. ~β€’~β€’~ I highly recommend reading the first book, the Moon's Assassin. Other wise nothing will make sense lol anyways, enjoy the book ❀️❀️❀️

Rejected by her mate because she was thought to be weak. He was wrong. //\\//\\//\\ I hear a sorrowful howl promising vengeance. Hearing the sound I let my head fall back watching the darkening sky as soon the air is filled with hundreds of howls mourning their late Alpha and sending their empathy to their late Luna's suffering. Listening my eyes close as the wind blows, listening to the beautiful melancholy of the pack's song. "I always find this type of howl the most beautiful." His voice while was unexpected, was a welcome distraction from my self loathing thoughts. "Does it ever break your heart?" //\\//\\//\\ ***UNDER SERIOUS EDITING AND CONSTRUCTION***

"Everett" I called him when he paused in his tracks. I looked around and realized that we were right in the middle of a clearing. "Why did we stop here?" I enquired in bewilderment. Everett, who had his back to me, turned to face me. The hurt expression in his face didn't miss my notice even when he tried his best to conceal it from me, by giving me a small smile. "You know I love you right?" he asked me and I nodded happily. I knew my mate loves me and I love him too. He stepped forward, cupped my face in his hands and placed a light, feathery kiss on my forehead. "I'm doing this because I love you" he whispered, and then taking a step back, curled his fingers to form a tight fist. I stared at his fist and then glanced up to clash with his pacific blue eyes, "Doing what?" I prompted. Everett didn't bother replying; instead he shifted into his huge black wolf, compelling me to take a few steps back. 'Shift' he commanded through the link. I looked away not meeting his gaze because I didn't appreciate the way he commanded me. Nobody commands me. Nobody. 'I, Everett Green, Alpha of Waterwave Pack, am challenging you, Templar Green, White Wolf, for a fight'

"I don't want you to mark me" I said quickly. "Why?" he asked me, his tone seemed calm but i knew he was far from it. "I have a commitment towards my pack" I told him, hoping he'll understand but to my astonishment his eyes were dark now and he held his palms in a tight fist. "You are my mate Templar, you belong to my pack" he said in a condescending tone. My blood boiled at the tone he was using with me. Nobody talks to me like that. Nobody. "Do not use that tone with me, Everett. You are not my Alpha, I respond to-" none, i was about to say, but had to bite my tongue to change that. I was not ready to tell him that I'm the sole White Shifter, not ready to tell him I'm The Alpha of my pack. So i lied, again.

**FAIR WARNING: YOU WILL HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, BUT IT IS THERE, AND WORTH THE READ. IF YOU ARE OVERLY SENSITIVE, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK* Logan Pierce and Noah Locke are sworn enemies. Both at the top of their class, holding themselves to the highest standards; both captains of their volleyball teams, Logan as the girls captain, Noah as the boys; and both constantly playing seemingly harmless pranks to get back at one another. Or, at least, they're usually harmless... If one thing is true, Noah Locke and Logan Pierce are not friends. But does that mean they could never be friends? Or transcend their title as enemies? Logan might take things too far sometimes, but there's a reason behind the angry front she puts on, and in order to get behind it, someone needs to show her that there's more to life than being the best at everything. Cue Noah Locke. When the two volleyball teams are sent away to a team bonding camp for a week over Fall break, Logan and Noah must learn to get along for the sake of their teams. Partnered up and made to do activities together and bond, the goal is for Noah and Logan to stop this ongoing feud. And when something happens at the bonding camp that brings Logan's vulnerable side up to bat, Noah is the one who has to bring her back. While Logan and Noah explore something other than hatred for one another, there are secrets and people who could be working in toll to bring them apart. But will they be able to transcend those factors and stop fighting for once? Or were they destined to be enemies forever? "Better Than You" challenges the idea that enemies have to stay enemies forever, and proves that if you don't run away from love, you may just find where you were meant to be.

Of life and death. Of love and heartbreak. Of sin and truth. Of muses and tragedies. The world is a complex weave of binaries. And so is this book. [a collection of poems by Claudia]
