After completing the Trials of the 7 Kingdoms, Varian with his found family of Yong, Nuru, and new lover, Hugo, go to the Kingdom of Corona for the first time, though Varian may regret that. With consequences for his past actions lurking all around, most people of Corona still hating him, and things happening that should never have happened being make into this book. Only time will tell if Varian will need a new home or not.

Ulla and Donella were best friends, maybe even more than that in high school, but after a horrible incident involving a serial killer, they haven't talked since. Twenty years later, the same serial killer is at large again and Donella, now a detective and mother to adopted son, Hugo, wants Ulla, now a mortician and a single mom to son, Varian, to join the case. Will Ulla be able to get over their rocky past to take down this notorious killer? Warning: This is horror so, may be scary.

A fighter pilot named Hugo, barely makes it out of a tough spot, crash landing into the fields of some remote farm country. The brilliant engineer and farm boy, Varian, finds the wreckage and the pilot. Offering to fix the plane, he hopes Hugo will agree to bring him along once the aircraft is fixed. Varian wants more than anything to prove himself in the world outside his quiet little town, but there's so much more to Hugo than he could ever imagine, not all things good.

Seeking revenge, Varian forms his own crew to go and look for her but runs into a snag when a young and flirtatious Captain Hugo and his crew intercept his ship, stealing something essential to his revenge plan. Will the two pirate captains be able to put aside their rivalry and team up to stop Ruby Scourge once and for all? Note: this story was almost named Swashbuckling Bros with Benefits. Let that sink in.
