Legends are legends, handed down through oral tradition. Some legends are true, some not so much. Putting the legend of the frozen mermaid to the test, Gaielle, a siren from Berth, ventures ashore to investigate the earthen realm despite the protest of her brother and dying father. Though tragedy separates kingdoms and Aethelfrith must come to terms with the death of his nephew at his own hands, he ascends a throne that is not his to serve the Warrick people. A rocky marriage, a curse the likes of which the kingdoms of Eldon have never seen, and a secret affair that leads to a forbidden pregnancy come crashing down around Aethelfrith and Gaielle. Things will never be the same for them upon delivery of The Oracles of Ice.

I was wondering where is this going but it took an interesting turn in the middle and then it started to get good. It was different in some instances, than the regular werewolf stories. I enjoyed it and I like the plot twister as well had me there." - @RosaFuoco

Marine Staff Sergeant Stephanie Zoubareya is on medical leave after breaking the golden rule of the Corps: don't put ghosts in your report. Certainly don't follow them into the Malian desert and fight a fundamentalist militia. (It might not technically be a golden rule, but it should be.) As she contemplates what she's going to do with the rest of her life, she gets an under the table gig protecting a mute archaeologist. All they have to do is drive to New England, check out a statue, spend some of the NSA's money on hotel that looks out onto the sea. But that was before she killed a monster in a New York alleyway, or a religious cult cornered them at a gas station. Now she's worried that Dr. Penny Etrange is more than she seems, that Wickerman Cove has a secret, and that she might not actually be working for the NSA.

For thousands of years now, queens have been ruling our kingdom. When a Queen's reign has come to an end, a successor must be chosen by what we now know as The Rule of Cardinal. Miss Katherina Daventin, a young naive and innocent girl, has been chosen by the Cardinal to rule over the people of Nydisia. A people that would much rather prefer her dead. In a world where supernatural beings have not been kept a secret, she struggles to prove herself as a human chosen to rule a multitude of diverse creatures. General Lucian Williams, one of the strongest beings to walk the earth, the King of the now-dead land of Avingora and the son of Queen Orizelle, fights alongside Katherine to help her stake her claim to the throne as it is his duty as a General, and slowly love surpasses duty. The leader of the rebellion rises up against the Kingdom on the claims that the Cardinal is corrupt, little do they know their leader has other plans in mind. While Katherine and General Williams embark on this journey to save their kingdom, fight for what belongs to them and fight for their lives, they come across many challenges that only time will tell if they'll be able to withstand the pain. However, in order to save Katherine, Lucian does something irreversible, something he has to live with for the rest of his immortal life. -------- "I am Queen Katherina Daventin of the Eraregord land, chosen by the Rule of Cardinal, leader to the Nydisian Kingdom, and I will not be downgraded by the likes of an old man, who has done nothing to honour his sire." I slowly but surely made my way down the stairs before I was greeted with a response that angered every fibre in my body. "You may have been chosen by the Cardinal but the people would've never chosen you. Therefore I advise you to keep your cretin mouth shut, Your Highness." --STILL UNDERGOING EDITING-- [Current word count: 60,000-80,000] *This is a slow burn book* Disclaimer: This cover does not belong to the author.
