Indie. Yes that was her name and no she didn't know why her mother named her that. And no she couldn't ask her, because she was dead. Bounced from foster home to foster home, Indie May just wanted to escape. Literally. Every time she found herself in a new house, she ran away, but they always found her. Then when she runs away, hopefully for the last time, she retreats to her grandfather's old cabin. But to her dismay, someones already living there. The boy in her cabin is not what she expected. She expected maybe a bum or a hobo, but this boy was clean shaven and had a country accent. She tries to keep her self distant from Eli but he won't leave her alone. But when Eli gets seriously injured, she has to choose between her dream of peace alone or saving a life. Indie and Eli evade the police at every turn, finding along the way some new friends and some enemies. Can they find the peace they long for, all while running from their pasts?
