In a panic, Taehyung turned to leave but suddenly, his legs refused to listen to his wishes. He simply stood there, his back to Jungkook and held his breath, trying to find his composure. Without any clothes between them, it was easy to forget that he was a prince and Jungkook merely his bodyguard. Like this, naked, they felt equal.
"Where are you going? Don't tell me you're scared?" the dangerously soft voice spoke from behind Taehyung.
"Of what? Why would I be scared? I'm never scared." Empty bravado. Taehyung was terrified. Of himself more than anything, of those feelings swirling inside him every time Jungkook was near.
Suddenly, the voice was a lot closer. "Me. You're so scared you won't even let me touch you."
Taehyung whipped around and found Jungkook there, too close. "I'm not scared," he insisted, hearing his own voice tense in a blatant lie. He could feel his blood course downwards.
Jungkook simply smirked and stepped closer, crowding him against the cool, tiled wall. Arms lifted and suddenly, Taehyung was trapped between them. Jungkook leaned even closer, so close that their breaths danced together.
He whispered, "You're so scared you won't even let me kiss you..."
