When Freedom Fighter Nara meets Aang, Katara and Sokka she quickly realises that Aang is the Avatar and that her leader, Jet, isn't as good as he makes himself out to be. She ends up travelling with the three friends, bound for the North Pole. No one is quite sure what to make of each other. Nara has learned to be ruthless and calculating and is taken aback by Aang's endless cheer. The Avatar and friends aren't sure about this spy who's fallen into their midst either, but Sokka is determined to know her. Nara excepted to be fighting a war, she just never thought it would be alongside three children who, despite everything, still want to be kids.

Kimjo and Zuko have been searching for the Avatar ever since their banishment. With Kimjo's sickly constitution and wheelchair bound body, she works to help the Fire Nation Prince with the problems that come with searching for the master of all four elements.
