Ethan was the one with the odd complex to observe people from afar and being away from people was how he liked it, until he was forced to be face-to-face with a reality that he hadn't known existed, or perhaps had forgotten. This will be a Grethan fic.

Ethan Dolan hadn't spoken to his twin brother in seven years when a bright pink-laced bouquet arrived at the front door of his rented home in New Jersey. The note inside read words that cracked through the mask he'd painted on for the past several years: "You are invited to the wedding of Grayson Dolan and Eliza Wells."

grayson gets a dare from his friends to sit in a time machine, not knowing it works. they hit a random button and grayson is forced back in time to the 80s. when he wakes up in the machine a woman is stunned to see that the machine actually works. grayson is pissed. she forces him to school to see the children of 80s and try to show why it is so great. he meets a bad boy jock and somehow falls in love. and meets unexpected people. he befriends his parents and his math teacher. but after a month in the way-way back he must return back to 2018. he wakes up back in 2018. he's on a mission to find his lover. and when he does. the love they had can no longer be love anymore. or so he thinks...
