tony stark is sixteen, and a senior at shield high. he's smart, really smart, and both popular and unpopular. people know him by rumours, rumours he can't really escape. so it's hard for him to actually make friends. which is why, when he finds out steve rogers is in desperate need of tutoring in order to stay on the football team and keep his college scholarship, tony makes a deal with steve. all steve has to do is essentially bodyguard tony under the guise of a relationship, and tony will tutor steve in return. oh, and tony's got a shitty ex who won't leave him alone. that makes befriending (falling for) steve pretty difficult. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ guess what- there's trigger warnings! tw: abuse, eating issues, sexual assault, sexual coercion/rape and lots of angst (i do not own most of the characters)

Steve doesn't usually go for kids like Tony- young and irresponsible, ripped jeans and eyeliner, and a tongue ring that is way more distracting than it should be. Oh, and Tony is high as a kite, studying his physics textbook. Steve should look away, but he can't stop staring, and Tony is staring right back, more than a little interested in the serious blonde with the cute glasses and big shoulders pushing against that button up. With Steve mostly gone, Tony continues tinkering, and his worry only grows. When Steve and Tony fight against the Winter Soldier, they are only left with more questions than answers. They find themselves at odds, much like when they first met, but push past it to fight two common enemies; one a remainder of Steve's past and the other a creation of Tony's increasing paranoia for the future.

In which the new era is not at all what either of them expected. // Literally just an AU about The Avengers where everything is the same, except there's a lot of Stony in it. Mostly doing this because there are so many moments throughout the entire 11 year movie franchise where there has been sexual tension that wasn't acted on. He made his life choices, without thinking about the consequences that would follow in pursuit. He's loved, and he's lost, but he found love again, and then lost it once more. He fell in love with a man who he would have given the world for, but lost him due to his life choices as well. It almost seemed like a miracle that he used the phone he gave him for emergencies, he believed that the man wanted to make things better between them, only to have found out when he touched the soil of New York he once walked on, that he was betrayed by said man. Steve loved Tony with all of his heart, but said genius betrayed him, got him locked up in the Raft prison, making him suffer, waiting out the days until he accepted death. But maybe, just maybe there was a bigger reason for what Tony did. But the real question is, can their relationship be fixed, or is it destined to fail. It started with a stupid green cupcake, and after a visit to Bruce, Steve's life went downhill from there. What would Tony say? What did he have to say about it?
