At first, he thought it was a shark so he kept his eyes on it, but the figure did not move much and wasn't particularly interesting, so he went back to his urgent task. Once he had finished, he searched for the shape again, curious to see if it was still there. He could not spot in in the place from before and so he started looking around. Perhaps it was indeed a shark and it had swum away. He spotted the thing floating close to shore and he looked until the sea spit it out. This peered his interest. Whatever it was, it was too far away for Edmund to make out what it was, so he took out his spyglass once more. "A piece of driftwood," he thought. "Or maybe a bunch of seaweed. Or driftwood with seaweed," And then it moved.

"Ettinsmoor? Is that what we're calling it now?" Imira asked. "Better than 'the northern lands the Ettins inhabit' don't you think?" Peter asked in return. "I suppose it's catchy," she agreed. It was small in terms of its geographical borders but its population was vast and ever increasing, with the agricultural production (for that was the main means of livelihood) flourishing and growing leaps and bounds. It was not a young Land- it had lasted centuries upon centuries, and was ruled by a caring and clever Queen and her kind and benevolent King- but, due to some international worry, it needed the protection of a larger and stronger land. Naturally, the most reasonable thought to secure this protection the King and Queen had was that of a marriage alliance- for, that would guarantee protection and security for years and hopefully generations to follow. And they were most pleased once they received word from the High King of Narnia- who had seen the advantages of marrying into a bountiful Queendom that had an abundance of grains and natural resources- that they were willing to accept the alliance and union. Really, there were only two opposers to this idea.
