Ellie Evans is the new kid at North Shore High. Some of the first people she befriends are the Mathletes. But as everyone else in the school says, "Joining them is social suicide." Soon enough, Ellie finds herself wondering if she should stay with the Mathletes, and not have any other friends outside of them, or branch out, and have to pretend to not know them anymore. Note: this takes place the year before the plot of Mean Girls
