When his duty ends as an angel monitoring and helping the Earth, he gets to cause mischief and has only one last chance to overcome his critical situation to be extinct. (Alternatively, where Gulf is now 'adopted' by the Red Moon Pack, and it's one year before his birthday but it looks like he'll be pack-less again sooner than he thought for he has found himself entangled in an awkward situation with the Head Alpha.) (Or again, flowers do bloom when you let yourself fall inlove.)
