In the annals of Kaleesh history, there is not a leader more respected than Qymaen jai Sheelal. There are many things that mark the youngest khagan to sit on the throne of Kalee as a formidable leader, but the crowning jewel of his reign is his closest companion, Ronderu lij Kummar. Unbeknownst to outsiders, they are in deep love with one another, secretly planning their marriage in the midst of a broiling conflict between the Kaleesh and the Yam'rii invaders who have partial control of their planet. But their plans are halted by a battle that reaches the most sacred part of their tribe: the temple of Jenuwaa, the oldest known structure on Kalee. Though Qymaen escapes alive, Ronderu is perceived to have been brutally murdered by the Yam'rii. Desperate to close the wound left by her death, but knowing his efforts are futile, he begins to fall into an ugly cycle of hatred and rage against her killers. Lies are told, mysteries are woven, and irreversible sins are committed as Qymaen takes on a new identity, swearing never to suffer his grief alone. But in the thick of the pain the galaxy endures as he morphs into pure misery and anger, a single ray of hope shines for his redemption. • An AU of "Unknown Soldier: The Story of General Grievous" •Entered into @Bellarina50's Fanfic Awards, and the Minty Awards 2019 • Written by thrice-featured author on @starwarsfans, Joye Everett. • RATED M for themes of suicide and self-harm. [This is a sequel chapter to Severed. If you haven't read that, you'll be missing some context] After their reunion, Entrapta begins to re-examine her feelings toward Hordak, wondering if he feels the same way. --- I didn't think I'd be revisiting this story, but here I am :) I headcanon Entrapta and Hordak as asexual. It was also in the tags of Severed, but that aspect of their relationship didn't factor into the plot as heavily as it will going forward. My goal is to portray a wholesome platonic partnership in a way that dispels the stereotype of asexuality as rigid and loveless. This type of story is very far out of my wheelhouse, but I put a lot of love into it, and I hope you enjoy reading!

Mystacor, the secret Etherian kingdom of sorcery, looks like paradise to the outsider. But not all is well on the misty island cluster, and its most powerful Emeth, Light Spinner, knows it. A bitter childhood and forbidden powers have landed her in a place where she must prove her worth to her superiors in order to fulfill her mother's dying wish to her. And with her loneliness having not left her since her coronation to the Guild of Sorcerers, she has begun to accept her place in society - outcast and unaccepted. But on the day of her coronation to the Guild of Sorcerers, Light Spinner's world changes forever. The young boy Micah of Tropicilas enters her life, and his joyous demeanor and honest heart present her with difficult choices, especially when a mysterious terrorist group suspected to be from another world invades his home kingdom. Her deep friendship with her apprentice compels her to act, yet the Guild forbids her to use her powers under any circumstance. The dark armies spread their bloody streak across the peaceful planet, and war becomes a possibility. And as Light Spinner despairs on whether to follow her own wishes or those of her superiors, she finds she may have to sacrifice more than just their approval. RATED T FOR: infrequent/mild references to self-harm. NOTE: THIS BOOK DOES NOT REQUIRE THAT THE READER SEE THE SOURCE MATERIAL FIRST. *Cover and illustrations by me, hand-drawn on Procreate. *I do not own Light Spinner, She-Ra, or DreamWorks. This is a creative work of fanfiction. *First draft written for NaNoWriMo 2019.
