It was dark out. It was dangerous, and there was a terrified victim who needed saving every time he turned around. There was no money, and there was fame, no cameras. Just the whispers, the rumors, the conspiracies. Which meant, of course, that there were no heroes. Izuku was alone. Really, he'd been alone for years, ever since he learned he had no quirk. Now, though, he couldn't bring himself to follow after Bakugo's back, bravely proclaiming his goal to the world and facing the scorn with determination. Because he knew now, for an inescapable fact, that he didn't want to be a hero. Heroism, after all, is what got his mother killed. The event awakened something in him, something that might have been a quirk. His obsession with quirk analysis and heroes, after all, was not normal. But, heroism as a profession had its limits. All he had ever wanted was to save people, help them however he can. And sometimes, he'd found, the law just got in the way. He didn't hate the laws, or the police force that enforced it, but he now understood very personally there was no "one size fits all" set of rules when it came to suffering. In name, he supposed, he'd become a villain. He found he didn't care. Because in practice, he saved lives, he stopped the suffering of those who needed him, and he was there when no one else could be. And that's what makes a hero, no matter what anyone else tells him.

When Toga suddenly arrives in Izuku's dorm, he's not quite sure what to think. There's a villain in his room. One probably armed with dangerous weapons of all sorts. But to his surprise, they actually end up getting along. It was almost as if her sadistic, psychopathic personality had vanished. Her visits started to increase, either to help him with homework, or just to chat. She didn't talk to him as if it was just a chore to be there for him. She actually seemed to enjoy listening to him. Even when he started to ramble from time to time. But he knew one thing. She wasn't just a villain. She was human. But could she be his hero too? ---------------------------------------------------------------------

The only reason Midoriya got to talking with Ashido was because his bandages needed reapplying. Still, this small hand of fate was all that was needed to spark a friendship and a far closer bond between the two classmates. I honestly have no idea what their ship name is, so I'ma call it MinaDeku. [Male Reader x My Hero Academia] The advent of Quirks changed society fundamentally. It was the birth of a child in Qing Qing City, China that nearly brought about the end of civilization as it was known. 'Meta Abilities.' Abilities that held the potential for great good, but inevitably great evil. Human nature quickly bore its ugly head, as it always did. Those with the power to act, and with the proclivity towards criminal activity, quickly viewed their new gifts as an opportunity to exploit the weak. Even while remaining the minority of the world's population, the onslaught of Villains came close to destroying society... Almost a century later and the world remains alive and breathing, and Humanity is thriving. Normal people with their own Quirks, those who refused to allow their friends and family to get taken advantage of, rose up against the tyranny of Villains. Vigilantes quickly became world-renowned Heroes and the tides were turned. Problems remained but peace had been achieved once more, and the world could rest well knowing that Pro-Heroes were around to keep them safe. And yet, this peace could never have lasted forever. The new generations know little of the horrors of the past, unaware that evil remains alive and well. Pro-Heroes are little more than pompous media personalities, with little interest in saving lives, but instead on fame and wealth. A great Villain lies in wait, counting down the days when he can finally seize retribution for what was done to him. However, this time he has a secret weapon. A weapon that could herald the end of all things...

Izuku x Yandere Momo, Inspiration from 'Hisashi's Master Plan' by IzuWoo and 'Obsessive Vice President' by Horseshoes2078. Of all the countless things money could buy, it couldn't buy the thing Momo Yaoyorozu wanted most in this world. The heart of Class 1-A's cinnamon roll, Izuku Midoriya. But that's fine, Momo always found satisfaction in earning something rather than buying it. And what can't she earn when she puts her powerful, obsessive, manipulative mind to it? Content warning: This is the most fucked up thing I'll ever write. Probably. There's manipulation, lemon, what else do you expect from a yandere? If that bothers you, don't force yourself to read.
