After the massacre of her previous masters, Seul-Ki is transferred to the Royal Palace to work for Queen Bae Joo-Hyun--an ice-cold Queen with an unreasonable attitude. Despite the reputation, Seul-Ki finds the Queen to be an enticing mystery, a feeling that is surprisingly reciprocated. Curiosity grows into passion, and a forbidden relationship begins to blossom between them amidst opposite forces: the Queen's duty to the King, a rising tension in the courts, and jealous wrath from the Concubine who vies for the King's attention. While Seul-Ki falls deeper and deeper in love with the woman she cannot have, the world around her spirals more and more into a political storm she cannot control. There is nothing she can do to protect the Queen, no matter how much she is willing to sacrifice for her. The world is cruel, and the Queen's maid is powerless. *A Korean historical romantic tragedy inspired by the iconic lesbian movie, The Handmaiden.* *** First written date: 15 Jul 2022 First published date: 15 Sep 2022 Completed date: 19 Jan 2023 Edited date: TBD Word Count: ~39,000 Cover done by @/adrian.dsgns on Instagram

Yeju Hwarng no longer believes in love. After breaking up with her long-term girlfriend and watching her parents divorce over the summer, all her passion disappeared, including her passion for science that got her into her microbiology Ph.D. program. When a new roommate moves into the apartment, Yeju recognizes her as more than just a familiar face; she is an enemy that needs to be chased out of her life. Lia Choi does not need love. Her parent never gave her any, and confessing to her childhood best friend over the summer only caused a fall out. Love has proven to be both unnecessary and a liability, and all Lia needs instead is to do well in college and get into a prestigious research position in the microbiology department. Unfortunately, her research mentor turns out to be her new roommate. And she is hell bent on ruining Lia's life. Tension escalates both at home and in the lab, but the more they work together, the more they realize: they have a common goal, and they need each other to achieve that. All they need to do is to open their hearts. Love is hard, but a life without love is harder. *** THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS meets DELILAH GREEN DOESN'T CARE; a STEM-oriented college sapphic romance about struggling adults navigating love despite their broken hearts. *This is a stand-alone spin-off to Cherry On Top. 💫 2023 Watty's Winner! 💫 Editor's Choice, 26 May 2023 - 29 June 2023 💫 Featured on Wattpad's Summer Loving Days reading list, 21 Jul 2023 💫 Featured on the official @lgbt, @Romance, @FreeTheLGBT, and @WattpadAfterDark profile First Published: 2 Feb 2023 Completed Date: 24 June 2023 Edited Date: 22 July 2023 Word Count: 55,000-60,000 Also posted on Scribblehub, Tapas, and RoyalRoad (Not on Amazon or anywhere else!) ****Copyrighted**** 'Tell me you don't feel it.' He whispered against my lips, and the trembling that had ceased at the feel of his lips against mine began again with renewed vigor. 'Tell me it's not what you want, and I'll go. You'll never have to see me again.' Swallowing, I looked up at the eyes that had entranced me from the start. I took in his every feature, slowly and deliberately. I thrilled at the feeling of his arms enfolding me, and I inhaled his familiar scent with a trembling breath. And then, then I did the most foolish thing imaginable: I flung my arms about his neck and kissed him with all that I had, almost losing myself in the safety and security I felt. But more than that, I ran. I took his moment of shock, the slight loosing of his arms about me, and tore myself away from him, shoving out the door and into the rain. I suppose I'll never know why he didn't follow me. It was the thing I feared most. I knew that if he came for me a second time, I wouldn't be able to say 'no'. I wouldn't be able to run. But I had to. I had to go. I couldn't let him be hurt because of me. He would live on now, and I would marry another. I had leased my last bit of passion in that one moment in his arms, and as I made my way through the dark streets, I felt myself become dull and lost like the creatures bound in the menagerie. **Much of this was written when I was younger and then I came back later and finished it. There will likely be mistakes. Lots of them.
